Catch Up!

Hello blogging world! Sorry I've been gone so long, it's been a busy few weeks! Let's play some catch up!

We've been in our new place for a few weeks now and loving it! Everything is finally put away (besides a mattress that is sitting in our dining room while we try and sell it) and all of our stuff actually fits! It's nice to have space again! I keep dreaming of how I am going to decorate and what I want to add and where, but I think we should try and get our bank account back up to normal first, don't ya think? :) For now, our house is just fine, and I cant decorate little by little. At least I have a little halloween monster guy to have sitting out to make it feel like fall!

I am starting a new job next week. I finally get to put my degree to good use! I really love the bridal industry, and I am really going to miss it. But now I get to have a 8 am - 5 pm job, Monday through Friday, and can focus on being a bride myself. It's going to be nice to have a job where there is structure, and an actual paycheck with a time sheet. It's amazing the things that you miss about a job when you don't have them.

My BFF is coming to visit in less than a month. I AM BEYOND EXCITED! She is such an important part of my life, and it's been very difficult not being able to see her. I am so thankful for things like facebook and texting to be able to communicate with her, but seeing her is going to trump everything :)

I started semi-working out. Key work - semi! I have been taking our dog for a walk every other day, exploring the neighborhood. It feels good to get outside, and I'm not quite ready to run in the heat yet, so its been nice just to walk. It's a start! I'm also trying to cut back on sugar and eat more fruits and vegetables.  That's the difficult part. Sugar is a key part of my diet, I think I am addicted to it. But, it's a process, so we shall see how it goes.

I think that's all for now! Go put on some Glee and rock out. It's good for the soul.

Work it out

I get daily emails from The Knot.com, and normally I like their ideas, but don't really pay much attention to it. Today I got one that talked about work-out routines for getting in shape for your wedding. Since I have met Matthew, I have gained some extra pounds. My happy fat :) So this article sparked my interest. It talked about starting a work out diary/journal type thing, and keeping up to date on it. I feel that this is a great idea! I like to stay organized, and this makes me giddy just thinking about it. So once we officially get into our new town home, I am going to buy a scale and a new journal. And then my new work out routine is going to start. I pledge to stick to this plan. I want to get in shape not just for my wedding (which will not be for at least a few years still), but for myself. I have let myself become unhealthy, and that is unacceptable. I need to have more persistance and self-control. I do like my cupcakes and chocolate!
